GET Japan operates the get-jpn.com website and store, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services (the "Services"). GET Japan is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
The below terms and conditions, together with any policies referenced herein (these "Terms of Service" or "Terms"), describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services. These Terms apply only to get-jpn.com. Purchases made through other websites, including tonkotsuracing.com, are governed by that website’s own separate terms, where applicable.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully, as they include important information about your legal rights, including disclaimers of warranty, limitations of liability, and a binding arbitration agreement.
By visiting, interacting with, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service or our Privacy Policy, you should not use or access our Services.
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and you have given your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use the Services on devices you own, purchase, or manage.
To use the Services, including accessing or browsing our online store or purchasing any of the products or services we offer, you may be asked to provide certain information, such as your email address, billing, payment, and shipping information. You represent and warrant that all information you provide is correct, current, and complete, and that you have all rights necessary to provide it.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all account activity. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.
We have made every effort to provide an accurate representation of our products and services. However, colors or product appearance may differ from how they appear on your screen due to your device and display settings.
Many of the parts, accessories, and vehicles we sell are used, imported, discontinued, or made to order, and may show signs of wear, differ from factory specification, or vary from prior production runs. We do not warrant that the appearance, fitment, or condition of any product will match your expectations or exactly match how it is depicted online.
All product descriptions are subject to change at any time without notice, at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time and to limit the quantities we offer to any person, geographic region, or jurisdiction.
Unless a specific product listing expressly states otherwise, performance, racing, and aftermarket parts and accessories sold by GET Japan are intended for competition and off-road use only, are not intended for use on a public street or highway, and are only legal for use on vehicles that will never be registered, licensed, or operated upon a public highway.
Many of the parts we sell may affect a vehicle’s emissions control systems and may not be certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) or comparable state or federal authorities. It is solely your responsibility to determine whether a given part is legal to install, use, or operate on a vehicle registered for street use in your state or locality before you purchase or install it. GET Japan makes no representation that any product is street-legal, smog-legal, or emissions-compliant in any jurisdiction, and we are not responsible for any citation, fine, failed inspection, deregistration, or other consequence arising from a part’s use on a public road.
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. GET Japan reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason, at our discretion. Your order is not accepted until we confirm acceptance, and we must receive and process your payment before an order is accepted. Please review your order carefully before submitting, as we may be unable to accommodate cancellation requests once an order has been accepted. If we do not accept, must change, or must cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you using the email address, billing address, and/or phone number provided at the time the order was placed.
Your purchases are subject to return or exchange solely in accordance with our Refund Policy. Except where required by applicable law (see Section 6), all sales are final.
You represent and warrant that your purchases are for your own personal or household use and not for commercial resale or export, unless you have separately disclosed and we have agreed to such use in writing.
GET Japan offers an import service through which we bid on, purchase, and import parts, accessories, and vehicles from Japan on a customer’s behalf (the "Import Service"). Use of the Import Service is subject to this Section 5 in addition to the rest of these Terms. Current details about the Import Service, including active containers and general pricing, are posted on our Import Service page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
No deposit is required to place a maximum bid. Placing a maximum bid does not mean the bid immediately increases to that amount — it will only rise, incrementally, if and as needed to outbid another bidder, up to your stated maximum. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you if you are outbid, but because many auctions close in the early morning hours in Japan, we cannot guarantee timely notice, and you acknowledge that you may not learn of being outbid before the auction closes.
We will invoice you only if a bid or purchase you authorized is successful. The invoiced amount reflects the actual winning bid or purchase price plus applicable service charges, and may differ from your stated maximum bid. Once we have won an auction or completed a purchase on your behalf, that purchase is final and cannot be canceled, and payment in full is due within 72 hours of invoicing unless we agree to other terms in writing. If payment is not received within this window, we may cancel the order, and you may be held responsible for any resulting costs, fees, or losses we incur as a result, including auction, seller, or shipping cancellation charges.
Estimated arrival dates for Import Service shipments are approximate only and are not guaranteed. Our import process may include photographing and publicly sharing images or video of shipments, vehicles, parts, and loading and unloading activity. We work with third-party logistics, freight, and customs partners in Japan and the United States to fulfill Import Service orders, and we are not liable for their acts, omissions, or delays except to the extent required by applicable law.
We may, at our discretion, also facilitate the purchase of new parts directly from manufacturers or suppliers as part of the Import Service; such orders may carry additional processing time.
GET Japan may sell or facilitate the import of used vehicles sourced from Japan ("Vehicles"). The following terms apply specifically to Vehicle purchases, in addition to the rest of these Terms.
Vehicles are sold “as-is” and “where-is,” with all faults, and without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or condition, except as separately and expressly agreed by us in writing. Odometer readings for imported Vehicles are typically stated in kilometers as recorded by the manufacturer or prior owner, and we do not independently verify their accuracy; you acknowledge that mileage/kilometer records for imported Vehicles may be incomplete or unverifiable. Many Vehicles are configured for the Japanese market, including right-hand-drive configuration, and may differ from vehicles built for the U.S. market.
We are not a licensed motor vehicle dealer in your state and do not act as your agent for purposes of registration, titling, insurance, or emissions compliance. It is solely your responsibility, before purchasing, to independently confirm that a Vehicle can be lawfully imported, titled, registered, insured, and operated in your state or locality, including compliance with any applicable federal, state, or local emissions, safety, and age-of-vehicle import requirements. Where we handle export and import paperwork on your behalf as part of the Import Service, we will provide you with the documentation we receive or generate in connection with that process; however, we do not guarantee that any Vehicle will be eligible for titling or registration in your particular state, and we are not responsible for delays, denials, or additional requirements imposed by any state motor vehicle authority.
Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price in effect at the time your order is placed, as set out in your order confirmation. Unless expressly stated otherwise, posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs, or import charges.
Prices posted on get-jpn.com may differ from prices offered in person, through the Import Service, or through other stores operated by us or third parties. Promotions may be governed by additional terms; if those terms conflict with these Terms, the promotion-specific terms will govern for that promotion.
If you choose to pay via an installment plan (such as Shop Pay Installments), an additional processing fee of up to 5% may apply to cover associated costs; the applicable fee will be disclosed to you before you confirm your order.
You represent and warrant that (i) any payment information you provide is true, correct, and complete, (ii) you are authorized to use the payment method provided, and (iii) charges will be honored by your payment provider.
Unless a listing states otherwise, in-stock items ship from our facility in California. Please allow 3-7 business days for orders to be processed and shipped. Domestic orders are typically shipped via USPS or UPS, and occasionally FedEx. Shipments generally include $100 of shipping insurance; additional insurance may be purchased by contacting us before your order ships. Orders over $750 USD require a signature upon delivery.
International orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and other fees imposed by the destination country; you are solely responsible for these charges. Additional details are available in our Shipping Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
We are not liable for shipping or delivery delays. All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs processing, or events outside our reasonable control. Once we transfer a product to the carrier, title and risk of loss pass to you.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can evaluate the issue; claims made after this window may not be eligible for resolution.
Our Services, including all trademarks, brands, text, displays, images, graphics, product reviews, video, and audio, and their design, selection, and arrangement, are owned by GET Japan, its affiliates, or its licensors, and are protected by U.S. and foreign intellectual property laws.
These Terms permit you to use the Services for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display or perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any material from the Services without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms grants you any license or right under any GET Japan, Shopify, or third-party patent, trademark, or copyright, except as expressly stated. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
GET Japan’s names, logos, and slogans are our trademarks or those of our affiliates or licensors, and may not be used without our prior written permission. Shopify’s marks belong to Shopify. All other marks on the Services belong to their respective owners.
We may provide access to tools offered by third parties that we do not monitor and have no control over. We provide access to such tools "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, and we have no liability arising from your use of them. Your use of any optional third-party tool is at your own risk, and you should review the relevant third party’s own terms before using it. We may offer new tools or features in the future, which will also be governed by these Terms.
The Services may contain links to websites operated by third parties, including affiliated businesses such as Tonkotsu Racing (tonkotsuracing.com). We do not examine or evaluate, and are not responsible for, the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party or affiliated website, even where that website is linked from our navigation or referenced in these Terms. Purchases made on a third-party or affiliated website, including tonkotsuracing.com, are a separate transaction governed by that website’s own terms and policies, not these Terms. If you leave get-jpn.com to visit another site, you do so at your own risk, and any complaints, claims, or questions about that site’s products or services should be directed to that site’s operator.
GET Japan is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services. Any sale or purchase made through our store is made directly between you and GET Japan. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of that transaction, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from a purchased product or service, and you release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with GET Japan.
Personal information we collect through the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, and certain personal information may also be subject to Shopify’s Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read both. Because the Services are hosted by Shopify, Shopify collects and processes personal information about your use of the Services to help provide and improve them, and this information may be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and other third parties, including in other countries. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we, Shopify, and our partners use your personal information.
If you submit ideas, suggestions, feedback, reviews, or other content ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display that Feedback for any purpose, including commercial use. We are under no obligation to keep Feedback confidential, compensate you for it, or respond to it.
We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, edit, or remove Feedback we determine to be unlawful, offensive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable, or that violates any party’s rights or these Terms. You represent that your Feedback will not violate any third party’s rights, will not be unlawful or abusive, and will not contain viruses or malware. You are solely responsible for your Feedback and its accuracy.
The Services may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions related to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, shipping charges, transit times, or availability. We reserve the right to correct such errors and to change, update, or cancel orders based on inaccurate information at any time without prior notice, including after an order has been submitted.
You may use the Services for lawful purposes only. You may not use the Services to: (a) engage in any unlawful or malicious purpose; (b) violate any applicable law or regulation; (c) infringe our or any third party’s intellectual property rights; (d) harass, abuse, or harm any person; (e) transmit false or misleading information; (f) upload material that does not comply with these Terms; (g) send unsolicited advertising, “junk mail,” or spam; (h) impersonate any person or entity; or (i) engage in conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone else’s use of the Services or that, in our judgment, may harm GET Japan, Shopify, or other users.
You additionally agree not to: (a) upload viruses or malicious code; (b) reproduce, duplicate, or exploit any portion of the Services without authorization; (c) collect or track others’ personal information; (d) spam, phish, or pretext the Services; (e) use bots, scrapers, or automated or AI/agentic tools to access the Services without authorization; or (f) bypass or interfere with any security or access-control measure. We may suspend, disable, or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms.
This section applies if you use, enable, or deploy any automated or AI-driven software or service ("Agent") to access or interact with the Services on your behalf. An Agent may only access the Services if, at all times, it: (i) identifies itself as an Agent in the user agent string of any request (e.g., "Agent/[agent name]"); (ii) does not conceal that it is an Agent, including by mimicking human behavior or bypassing CAPTCHAs; (iii) responds truthfully to any prompt intended to distinguish human from automated use; and (iv) does not circumvent any measure we use to control Agent access. We may limit or block Agent access to the Services at any time, by technical or other means, including where we have requested that a particular Agent not access the Services.
We may terminate this agreement or your access to the Services, in whole or in part, at our sole discretion and without notice; you will remain liable for all amounts due through the date of termination. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to Intellectual Property, Feedback, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Severability, Waiver, Entire Agreement, Assignment, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law.
Information presented through the Services is provided for general informational purposes only. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of that information, and any reliance on it is at your own risk.
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED BY GET JAPAN IN WRITING, THE SERVICES AND ALL PRODUCTS OFFERED THROUGH THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE DISCLAIMER OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL GET JAPAN, OUR OWNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, OR LICENSORS, OR THOSE OF SHOPIFY AND ITS AFFILIATES, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST SAVINGS, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY PRODUCT, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR ANY PRODUCT WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO GET JAPAN FOR THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GET Japan, Shopify, and our respective affiliates, owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and service providers from any losses, damages, liabilities, or claims, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from (1) your breach of these Terms, (2) your violation of any law or third party’s rights, or (3) your access to or use of the Services. We will notify you of any indemnifiable claim; a delay in notice will not relieve your obligations unless it materially prejudices your defense. We may control the defense and settlement of such a claim at your expense, but will not settle in a way that imposes non-monetary obligations on you without your consent, which will not be unreasonably withheld. You agree to cooperate in the defense of any such claim.
If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the unenforceable portion will be severed, without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms, together with any policies or operating rules posted by us, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or proposals, whether oral or written. Any ambiguity in these Terms will not be construed against the drafting party.
You may not delegate, transfer, or assign this agreement or any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent, and any attempt to do so is void. We may transfer, assign, or delegate these Terms and our rights and obligations without notice or consent.
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.
Agreement to Arbitrate.
You and GET Japan agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Services, or any product or service purchased through get-jpn.com (a "Dispute") will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual action in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.
Arbitration Rules.
The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The arbitration will be conducted in Los Angeles County, California, unless you and GET Japan agree otherwise, or, at your election if you reside in the United States, in the county where you reside. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver.
You and GET Japan agree that any Dispute will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular Dispute, then that Dispute (and only that Dispute) may be brought in court, and the remainder of this arbitration agreement will remain in effect for all other Disputes.
Right to Opt Out.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to hello@get-jpn.com within 30 days of the date you first accepted these Terms (for example, by placing your first order), stating your name and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, neither you nor GET Japan will be required to arbitrate Disputes with the other, but all other parts of these Terms will continue to apply.
These Terms, and any Dispute not subject to arbitration under Section 25, will be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. For any Dispute not subject to arbitration, you and GET Japan consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
The headings used in these Terms are included for convenience only and do not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.
You can review the current version of these Terms at any time on this page. We may update, change, or replace any part of these Terms at our sole discretion by posting changes to our website; it is your responsibility to check this page periodically. We will notify you of material changes as required by applicable law, and such changes will take effect on the date specified in the notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
